Eligibility


Pre-owned vehicles are eligible for Lifetime Powertrain Warranty coverage if they meet the following criteria at the time of sale:

  • Fewer than 100,000 miles at purchase
  • Passes required multipoint inspection at sale
  • No modifications that void the manufacturer’s warranty
  • Under 10 years old (by model year and purchase date)
  • Not used for commercial, rental, or rideshare purposes

Annual Inspection & Maintenance Requirements

To keep this Lifetime Powertrain Warranty in effect, the customer must complete a **Multipoint Inspection** once per year, measured from the original Vehicle Purchase Date. The inspection must be performed by the dealership that issued the warranty and is provided at no cost to the customer. The inspection covers all major powertrain components and verifies that manufacturer-recommended maintenance has been performed.

If the customer lives more than 50 miles from the selling dealership, the inspection may be completed at another licensed service facility. However, the customer will be responsible for the cost of that inspection and must provide **proof of completion** to Ethos Group within 30 days of each anniversary date of the warranty. Failure to complete and submit proof of inspection will result in termination of coverage.

Additionally, all manufacturer-recommended maintenance (oil changes, fluid flushes, filter replacements, etc.) must be performed on time at a licensed facility. Customers must retain copies of all maintenance receipts and inspection documentation in order to remain eligible for warranty coverage.

Customer Responsibilities

To maintain eligibility for this warranty, customers must:

  • Complete the annual multipoint inspection each year as outlined.
  • Perform all scheduled maintenance per manufacturer guidelines.  
  • Retain and submit proof of inspection and maintenance when requested.  
  • Fulfill the $100.00 deductible on all agreements 

Failure to fulfill these responsibilities may result in cancellation of the warranty.

Limitations

This Limited Warranty covers only listed components under the engine, transmission, drive axle, transfer case, and hybrid systems. Coverage applies exclusively to failures that occur under normal use with proper maintenance. Seals, gaskets, and wear items are excluded.

Exclusions

The following situations or conditions are excluded from coverage:

  • Failure caused by lack of proper maintenance or improper fluids.
  • Damage from overheating, rust, corrosion, fire, flood, or collision. 
  • Failures resulting from off-roading, racing, or use beyond manufacturer specifications. 
  • Repairs for cosmetic, incidental, or non-covered parts damage. 
  • Repairs outside the U.S. or Canada, or if the vehicle is registered outside these regions. 
  • Commercial or rental use, including postal, taxi, or rideshare applications. 

VEHICLE CONDITIONS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR COVERAGE

Vehicles are NOT eligible for coverage under this Limited Warranty if they meet any of the following conditions below

  • Over 10 years old or more than 100,000 miles at the time of sale.
  •  Equipped with diesel, rotary, fuel cell, or fully electric powertrains. 
  • Used for commercial purposes including delivery, construction, rideshare (Uber, Lyft, etc.), taxi, or police/emergency service.
  • Equipped with lift or lowering kits or used to plow snow. 
  • Modified in any way that voids the manufacturer’s limited warranty.
  • Classified as one-ton trucks (e.g., 350 or 3500 series), cab-only, or cutaway vehicles. 
  • Considered “gray market” vehicles (originally built for sale outside the U.S.).
MAKES AND MODELS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR COVERAGE

The following makes and models are specifically ineligible for coverage

  • Acura NSX; 
  • Alfa Romeo;
  • Aston Martin; 
  • Audi A8, R8, RS Types, S Types, and any 10/12-cylinder models; 
  • Bentley; 
  • Bugatti; 
  • BMW i8, M Series, 6/7/8 Series, Alpina, and 10/12-cylinder models; 
  • Cadillac XLR, V Series; 
  • Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, Corvette Z06/ZR1/SS; 
  • Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6, any Chrysler SRT-8; 
  • Dodge Challenger (Hellcat or Demon), Charger (Hellcat or Demon), Viper, or any Dodge SRT-8/SRT-10; 
  • Ferrari; 
  • Fisker;
  • Ford Mustang SVT/Cobra/Cobra R/Shelby, Ford GT, any Ford with Boss or Roush package, Ford Lightning or supercharged F-150; 
  • Hummer H1; 
  • Jaguar; 
  • Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk or any Jeep SRT-8; 
  • Lamborghini; 
  • Land Rover; 
  • Lexus F-Series, LF-A, LS600H; 
  • Lotus; 
  • Maserati; 
  • Maybach; 
  • McLaren;
  • Mercedes-Benz; 
  • Mitsubishi Lancer Evo; 
  • Nissan GT-R; 
  • Panoz; 
  • Porsche; 
  • Ram SRT-8; 
  • Rolls-Royce;
  • Saab; 
  • Spyker; 
  • Tesla; 
  • Volkswagen Phaeton and any 10/12-cylinder models.
