Runner/Shuttle Driver

New Brighton Ford, a family owned and operated dealership is seeking a Full-time/part-time Shuttle Driver.

POSITION INFORMATION

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for receiving incoming service vehicles, service delivery, ensuring the service drive is clean and free of clutter. In addition, you will be responsible for washing vehicles, light filing/clerical duties and light janitorial work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guide and Park Incoming Service Vehicles
  • Deliver Customer Vehicle Pick Up
  • Perform any other duties as requested by Management
  • Pick up and deliver customers vehicles or customer themselves to their home or offices
  • Test drive vehicles
  • Keep service write up area clean and free from clutter (Including windows, floors, desks, etc)
  • Wash vehicles and ensure they are wiped down (appropriate vehicles)
  • File service hard copies in their appropriate location
  • Clean outside the shop doors (garbage, wipe down doors, clean windows etc)
  • Wash shuttle vehicles (evening and weekend shifts)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Maintain a valid Driver's license and a good driving record
  • Must be a team player

Main Shop Service Advisor

New Brighton Ford is seeking a highly motivated Automotive Service Advisor/Writer to join our main shop. Dealership experience with high volume and high sales is preferred.

Responsibilities of this position:

  • Ensure customers receive courteous, prompt and effective service.
  • Greet and assist customers with inquiries during their visit.
  • Detailed documentation of the customer's concerns - enabling the technician to properly diagnose and service the vehicle.
  • Consult with the customer regarding recommended maintenance.
  • Inform customer on completion times, service expenses, and any changes.
  • Remain involved until the customer picks up the vehicle to ensure all concerns have been addressed.
  • Build a relationship with the customer by spending time providing concierge support for all owner inquiries, via phone or in person, and assure the customer is not mishandled.
  • Have knowledge of the product to properly answer operational and characteristic questions regarding the customer's vehicle.

Requirements for this position:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Background in sales.
  • Ability to multitask and take direction.
  • Proficient in using computers and software programs on a daily basis.
  • Create and maintain a close relationship with each customer.

Parts Counter Person

Job Description:

The Parts Department at New Brighton Ford is growing and we need to add a full-time Parts Counter Person. We are a very busy retail and wholesale parts distribution center. The person we are looking for will need to be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills. You must be able to work well in a fast paced team environment. Heavy lifting is required (75 lb. maximum) along with forklift operation in this position. We are looking for a highly detailed person that can provide excellent customer service by listening to our customers' inquiries and requests, asking questions to ensure understanding of needs, and supplying parts in a timely manner. There will be other responsibilities and assigned duties as determined by the Parts Department Manager. The hours will be from 9AM-6PM Tuesday-Friday and 7AM-1PM on Saturday. Pay will be based on union scale and experience. Applicants will be subjected to a drug test, background check and a review of their driving record.

Automotive Diesel Technician

New Brighton Ford is a family owned and operated automotive dealership in the Twin Cities. We're seeking an Automotive Diesel Technician to join our service team.

Diesel Technicians are tasked with repairing the most challenging and time-sensitive problems that vehicles have when they arrive at the service department. Diesel technicians also may spend much of their time diagnosing and repairing unusual problems, rather than conducting more routine vehicle service or simple repairs.

Duties:

  • Conferring with customers or service advisors to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, and to discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements.
  • Examining vehicles to determine wear and extent of damage or malfunctions.
  • Testing and adjusting repaired systems to meet manufacturers' performance specifications.
  • Ensuring that the shop is in excellent condition in regard to cleanliness, safety, and equipment condition, and conducting periodic spot checks to maintain high-quality service.
  • Test-driving vehicles, and testing components and systems, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges and computerized diagnostic devices.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous Diesel Technician experience is preferred.
  • Ford certification is a plus, but not required.

Automotive Detailer

New Brighton Ford is a family owned and operated automotive dealership in the Twin Cities. We're seeking an Automotive Detailing Specialist for our Pre-Delivery and Inspection Department.

The Automotive Detailing Specialist will be responsible for preparing all new and pre-owned vehicles for delivery to customers or to our car lot. This is an important and vital role to ensure customer satisfaction. This position has an immediate effect on how customers view New Brighton Ford's automotive delivery process and how a new car looks to a new car buyer.

Job Duties:

  • Full appearance reconditioning of new and pre-owned vehicles
  • Drive vehicles through an automated car wash
  • Hand dry and polish auto exteriors

Automotive Product Specialists' Required Skills/Qualifications: Self-starter, good communicator, telephone skills, listening skills, and a focus on customer satisfaction!   

Workload: Expect to work 42-48 hours a week at a minimum, including Saturdays.

Our compensation plans are second to none. We offer an hourly rate of $16.00 an hour plus unit bonuses and factory incentives for salespeople new to our industry. Our salespeople make an average of $35,000 to $70,000 1st year plus excellent benefits including health care and paid training. We also have a commission based pay plan for the experienced sales person. Our top producers earn over $100,000!                                                 

 We do require a good driving record and the ability to pass a drug and background check.
